Do's and Dont's

  • Students will have to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set by the institute. No alcohol, drugs, smoking, guthka and other tobacco products shall be allowed in the campus.
  • Any kind of illegal activities during the working and non – working hours in the campus and misbehavior with any student, staff and security shall be strictly dealt with.
  • Students shall dress up decently while in college.
  • Respect the facilities provided to you in the campus. Any damage to the same shall be punishable.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited and punishable as per government laws.
  • Any celebration / student festivals can be done with a prior permission for the Faculty of Architecture and will be monitored by faculty in-charge for student’s affair.
  • Cell phones shall remain switched off during the college hours.
  • Computers, tables, soft boards, lockers, projectors and other infrastructure provided to the students shall be carefully handled. Any damage to any equipment or property shall be punishable and charged twice the amount of the same.
  • Students shall stick to the submission deadlines. Any postponement in the same shall deduct the grading.
  • It is assumed and expected that every student possess a personal PC / laptop from Semester III onwards for efficient working.
    Students will be issued a card which has to be produced along with the college identity card at the time of issuing the materials and documents.
  • Students shall get themselves registered before the in - charge, while issuing the document.
  • Students will keep the materials and documents in place while searching and referring. Strict actions shall be taken for the same if dumped carelessly.
  • Documents and materials shall be issued for a period of 07 days, after which it shall be considered as a late return; and a penalty of Rs. 10 / day shall be charged.
  • Any damage to any document or material shall be charged in the form of a submission or as a penalty of Rs. 2000/-, as decided by the in - charge.
  • Minimum 80% of attendance in each subject is mandatory for appearing in exams. Additional 20% relaxation will be granted based on valid medical reasons.
  • Minimum 50% of grades are essential for passing in Internal and External / University Evaluation.
  • Students failing in maximum 3 heads will be allowed to keep term (A.T.K.T.)
  • If a student fails in any internal head, he / she will only be allowed to re – appear for the end semester internal exams to clear the same.
  • Students are supposed to select any one subject from the list of Electives offered. Elective subject will be offered on availability of experts and required number of students.
  • Submission of a Complete Works Portfolio (CWP) is mandatory as a part of Semester VIII Studio (Thesis) to get a N.O.C. for professional training in Semester IX and X.
    Computers and other peripherals are provided to facilitate students in their works and submissions. Students shall register themselves in the log book provided, while entering and leaving the lab.
  • Students shall not fiddle with any of the hardware.
  • Students will leave no document on the hard disc, but transfer it on a personal portable device every time the work is done. Loss of any document or the file from the hard disc shall not be the responsibility of the Faculty.
  • Any damage to any equipment or property shall be punishable and charged twice the amount of the same.
  • Students shall respect the facilities provided in the computer lab. Stringent actions shall be taken for any damage / loss caused.
  • Students will be issued a library card which has to be produced along with the college identity card at the time of issuing the book.
  • Students shall get themselves registered before the in - charge, while issuing the book.
  • Books from the Central Library shall be issued for a period of 15 days, after which it shall be considered as a late return of book, for which the penalty shall be of Re. 1 / day.
  • Books from the Department Library shall be issued for a period of 02 days, as the titles are rare and the number of volumes is limited. A penalty of Rs. 10 / day shall be charged for the late return of book.
  • In case of loss of any book issued, a penalty of twice the cost of the misplaced book shall be charged.
  • Computer Lab is also equipped with wireless and wired internet facilities.
  • Students shall respect the facilities provided in the computer lab. Stringent actions shall be taken for any damage / loss caused.
  • FoA, SCET is starting 2 Batches of B.Arch. from academic session 2009 with an intake of 40 students each. The teaching will commence from 7:30 AM. & 9:30 AM. respectively for Batch 1 & Batch 2. Institute reserves the right of allocation of batch to the students admitted to FoA, SCET and can change the timing of the batch without assigning any reason thereof.
