NATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS _ COA ACHIEVEMENT 2025

The Council of Architecture (COA) has instituted awards to recognize outstanding contributions in both undergraduate and postgraduate thesis in Architecture, as well as for the documentation of India’s architectural heritage. This year, the awards ceremony was held at Dayanandasagar College of Architecture in Bangalore, Karnataka, on January 22, 2025. IDPT-SCET is proud to announce the following accolades received in various categories: 1) Best Postgraduate Thesis at the National Level awarded to Vinit Modi (M.Arch Batch 2022-24) for his proposal on the revitalization of the Fort precinct in Surat. 2) National and Zonal Winner for 'Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage' in the Arts and Crafts Related to Buildings category. Students from B.Arch-II and B.Arch-III presented their documentation on the Mud house and Mud craft of the Garasia tribes in Sabarkantha district, Gujarat. 3) National and Zonal Winner for 'Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage' in the Indigenous Dwellings category. B.Arch-II and B.Arch-III students showcased their documentation of the vernacular dwellings of the Charan community in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Our students received their awards from esteemed individuals, including renowned architect Ar. Raj Rewal, COA President Prof. Abhay Purohit, COA Vice President Ar. Gajanand Ram, and COA-TRC Director Prof. Jayashree Deshpande.
